AMOXICLAV (CLAVAM) 228.5 MG/5 ML SUSPENSION – 70 ML

Clavam 228.5 mg/5 mL suspension is an oral antibiotic formulation containing 200 mg of amoxicillin and 28.5 mg of clavulanic acid per 5 mL dose. This combination enhances the effectiveness of amoxicillin by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria.

🩺 Indications

Clavam suspension is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including:

• Upper respiratory tract infections: such as sinusitis and tonsillitis

• Lower respiratory tract infections: including pneumonia and bronchitis

• Urinary tract infections: such as cystitis and pyelonephritis

• Skin and soft tissue infections: like cellulitis and abscesses

• Ear, nose, and throat infections: such as otitis media and pharyngitis

• Dental infections: including tooth abscesses

• Bone and joint infections: such as osteomyelitis

📏 Dosage & Administration

• Typical pediatric dose: 15–30 mg of amoxicillin per kg body weight per day, divided into two or three doses.

• Administration: Shake the bottle well before each use.

• With or without food: It can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset.

• Use a proper measuring device: Always use a proper measuring device to ensure accurate dosing.

• Allergy: Not suitable for individuals with known allergies to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
