Indications
Leocef is prescribed for bacterial infections such as:

Respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis)

Urinary tract infections (e.g., cystitis, prostatitis)

Dosage and Administration

Adults: Typically, 250 mg to 500 mg every 6 hours. For skin and soft tissue infections, streptococcal pharyngitis, and uncomplicated cystitis, 500 mg every 12 hours may be administered. In severe infections, the dose can be increased up to 3 g to 6 g daily.

Children: The dosage range is 25–100 mg/kg/day in divided doses, not exceeding 4 g daily.

Contraindications
Leocef should not be used in individuals who:
