Lipiget 20mg Tablets contain atorvastatin, a statin medication used to manage cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is essential for cholesterol production in the liver. This results in lowered LDL (bad cholesterol), total cholesterol, and triglycerides, while increasing HDL (good cholesterol).
Indications:
- Primary hyperlipidemia
- Mixed dyslipidemia
- Familial hypercholesterolemia
- Prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients
Dosage and Administration:
Take one tablet daily, with or without food. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is near the time of the next dose. Do not double doses.
Precautions:
- Regular liver function monitoring is advised.
