Description
MALANIL Paediatric Tablets 62.5 mg/25 mg (12’s) is a combination medicine containing Atovaquone and Proguanil, specifically formulated for children. It is used for the prevention and treatment of malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including strains resistant to other antimalarial drugs.
Uses:

Prevention of malaria in children traveling to endemic areas

Treatment of uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria infections in pediatric patients
Dosage:

For prevention: Taken once daily, starting 1–2 days before entering a malaria area, continued daily during exposure, and for 7 days after leaving.

For treatment: Taken once daily for 3 consecutive days.

Dosage depends on the child’s body weight and should be guided by a healthcare professional. Tablets are best taken with food or a milky drink to enhance absorption.
Precautions:

Not recommended for children with severe kidney disease.
