Description
AMBROX 100ML is a mucolytic syrup containing ambroxol hydrochloride, used to treat respiratory conditions with thick or excessive mucus, such as bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps thin and loosen mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear the lungs.
The usual dose varies by age: adults and children over 12 typically take 10 mL three times daily; children between 6 and 12 years take 5 mL two to three times daily; younger children’s doses should be determined by a healthcare provider.
Common side effects include mild nausea, stomach discomfort, dry mouth, and taste changes. Rarely, allergic reactions like skin rash or swelling may occur.
Patients with stomach ulcers should use caution. It is important to consult a doctor before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in very young children.
Store the syrup below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and keep out of reach of children.
