Description
CEFOTIL 125mg/5ml Suspension (70ml) contains Cefuroxime axetil, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic formulated as an oral suspension. It is commonly prescribed in pediatric and adolescent patients for the effective treatment of various bacterial infections.
Indications:
CEFOTIL Suspension is indicated for infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis)

Lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, mild pneumonia)

Urinary tract infections

Skin and soft tissue infections

Acute otitis media

Early Lyme disease (in children over 2 years, when appropriate)
Dosage and Administration:
Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure uniform suspension. Administer orally after meals to enhance absorption and minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Dosage depends on the child’s weight, age, and the severity of infection. Use a calibrated measuring device for accurate dosing.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Cefuroxime, cephalosporins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics.

Side Effects:

Storage:
Store the dry powder below 25°C. After reconstitution, refrigerate between 2°C to 8°C and use within the recommended period (usually 7–10 days). Keep out of reach of children.
