Description
ESOP Injection (Esomeprazole Sodium)
ESOP Injection is an intravenous formulation of Esomeprazole sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to provide rapid and effective suppression of gastric acid secretion. It is indicated for the treatment of severe acid-related conditions where oral administration is not feasible or practical, such as acute gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and prevention of stress ulcers in critically ill patients.
Administered via intravenous infusion, ESOP Injection offers prompt relief by directly inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach lining, thereby reducing acid secretion and promoting healing of inflamed or ulcerated tissues.
Key Benefits:
-
Provides rapid acid suppression for acute management
-
Suitable for patients unable to take oral medication
-
Supports healing of erosive esophagitis and gastric ulcers
-
Useful in critical care settings for stress ulcer prophylaxis
