ICON Capsules contain Itraconazole 100mg, a broad-spectrum antifungal agent used to treat a wide range of fungal infections. Itraconazole belongs to the triazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes, ultimately leading to fungal cell death.
ICON is commonly prescribed for the treatment of systemic and superficial fungal infections, including onychomycosis (nail infections), dermatophytosis (ringworm, jock itch, athlete’s foot), candidiasis, and aspergillosis. It may also be used in certain prophylactic settings in immunocompromised patients.
