CEFUROXIME (EXIME DS) 250MG SUSP 50ML

EXIME DS Suspension 250mg/5ml (50ML) is an oral antibiotic suspension formulated for pediatric use, containing Cefuroxime axetil 250 mg per 5 ml. Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, effective against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Indications:
EXIME DS 250mg/5ml Suspension is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections such as:

• Upper respiratory tract infections (including tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis)

• Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Acute otitis media

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections

Dosage and Administration:
Dosage depends on age and weight, and should be prescribed by a healthcare professional. Administer the suspension after meals to optimize absorption. Shake well before each use and complete the full prescribed course to prevent recurrence or resistance.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Cefuroxime, other cephalosporins, or any formulation components.

Precautions:

• Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment.

• Monitor for allergic reactions or signs of superinfection during prolonged therapy.

• Not recommended for patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics.
