Glogen-D Eye/Ear Drops 10ml

Glogen-D is a combination ophthalmic and otic medication containing Gentamicin (0.3%), Dexamethasone (0.05%), Boric Acid (0.25%), and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (0.25%). It is formulated to provide effective treatment for both bacterial infections and inflammation in the eyes and ears.

Key Features:

• Gentamicin (0.3%): A broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, effectively treating bacterial infections.

• Dexamethasone (0.05%): A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and swelling.

• Boric Acid (0.25%): Acts as a mild antiseptic and pH buffer.

• Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (0.25%): Serves as a lubricant to soothe irritation and dryness.

Indications:

• Ocular (Eye) Infections: Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and other inflammatory eye conditions.

• Aural (Ear) Infections: Management of otitis externa, otitis media, and chronic suppurative otitis media.

Dosage & Administration:

• Eye Infections: Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours for the first 2 days, then reduce the frequency as advised by your healthcare provider.

• Ear Infections: Instill 2–3 drops into the affected ear(s) every 2–3 hours initially, then decrease frequency as symptoms improve.

Note: Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare professional.

Precautions:

• Contraindications: Not recommended for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of the components, or those with viral or fungal infections of the eye or ear.

• Use in Pregnancy & Lactation: Consult your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Prolonged Use: Avoid prolonged use to prevent potential side effects such as increased intraocular pressure or secondary infections.

Side Effects:

• Ocular: Temporary stinging or burning sensation, redness, or blurred vision.

• Aural: Ear discomfort, itching, or a feeling of fullness in the ear.

If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your healthcare provider promptly.

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiration date printed on the packaging.
