CELAGLAX TABS 30’S

CELAGLAX Tablets 10g (30’s) contain Lactulose, a synthetic disaccharide used as an osmotic laxative in tablet form. It is commonly prescribed for the management of chronic constipation and hepatic encephalopathy.

Indications:
CELAGLAX Tablets are indicated for:

• Treatment of chronic constipation

• Reduction of blood ammonia levels in patients with hepatic encephalopathy

Dosage and Administration:
Administer orally with water. Dosage depends on the patient’s condition, age, and response to treatment. Use as directed by a healthcare professional. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Lactulose or any tablet components

• Galactosemia

Precautions:

• Use cautiously in diabetic patients due to sugar content.

• Monitor electrolyte and fluid balance during prolonged therapy.

• Avoid overuse to prevent excessive diarrhea and dehydration.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include bloating, flatulence, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea, which usually subside with continued treatment.
