AMLODIPINE (AMOLAB) 5MG 30’S

AMLODIPINE (AMOLAB) 5 MG TABLETS (30’s) are a generic form of amlodipine besylate, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable angina (chest pain). Each tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which improves blood flow and reduces the heart’s workload. This helps lower blood pressure and relieve chest pain.

Indications

• Management of hypertension to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.
• Treatment of angina by improving blood flow and reducing chest pain.

Dosage & Administration

• The usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased depending on response.
• Elderly patients or those with liver impairment may require a lower dose.

Take the medication at the same time daily, with or without food.

Side Effects

• Swelling of ankles or feet (edema)
• Dizziness
