Overview:
Clindamycin (Myclin) 300mg capsules are a prescription antibiotic containing clindamycin, a lincosamide antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of susceptible anaerobic and aerobic gram-positive bacteria. Indications:
Clindamycin (Myclin) 300mg capsules are indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

Intra-abdominal infections

Septicemia and endocarditis

Alternative therapy when used in combination with quinine or amodiaquine for the treatment of multi-drug resistant Plasmodium falciparum infection
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 150–300 mg every 6 hours for serious infections; up to 450 mg every 6 hours for more severe infections.

Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water. To minimize the risk of esophageal irritation, avoid lying down immediately after taking the medication.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin.

Use with Caution: In patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, liver or kidney impairment, or those receiving neuromuscular blocking agents.
