Product Description:
Lipiglax 20mg Tablets contain rosuvastatin, a statin medication used to manage elevated cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. It works by lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and total cholesterol levels, while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.

Indications:

• Primary hyperlipidemia
• Mixed dyslipidemia
• Familial hypercholesterolemia
• Prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients

Mechanism of Action:
Rosuvastatin inhibits the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase in the liver, which plays a key role in cholesterol synthesis. This results in decreased cholesterol production and improved lipid profile.

Dosage & Administration:

• One tablet (20mg) once daily
• Can be taken with or without food
• Consistency in timing is recommended
• Do not take two doses at once if a dose is missed

Precautions:

• Periodic liver function monitoring is advised
