Alucid Suspension is an over-the-counter antacid and anti-flatulent formulation designed to provide relief from gastric discomfort, hyperacidity, and symptoms associated with excessive gas in the digestive tract. This peppermint-flavored suspension combines multiple active ingredients to neutralize stomach acid and alleviate bloating and flatulence.

Key Features:

• Active Ingredients: Each 10ml of Alucid Suspension contains:

  • Aluminium Hydroxide 800mg

  • Magnesium Hydroxide 800m

• Mechanism of Action:

  • Aluminium Hydroxide: Acts as an antacid by neutralizing stomach acid, providing relief from heartburn and indigestion.

  • Magnesium Hydroxide: Also serves as an antacid and has a mild laxative effect, which can help prevent constipation associated with other antacids.

  • Simethicone: Reduces bloating and discomfort caused by excessive gas by breaking down gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract.

• Indications: Alucid Suspension is indicated for the relief of gastric pain, hyperacidity, flatulence, and heartburn.

• Dosage: Adults and children over 12 years: 5–10ml (1 to 2 teaspoonfuls); Children under 12 years: 2.5–5ml (1/2 to 1 teaspoonful). To be taken between meals and at bedtime or as directed by a physician. Shake well before use.

• Flavor: Peppermint-flavored for a pleasant taste.

• Storage Instructions: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Precautions:

• Renal Impairment: Use with caution in individuals with kidney disease, as magnesium accumulation can occur.

• Drug Interactions: May interfere with the absorption of certain medications, including tetracyclines and iron supplements. It is advisable to space the administration of Alucid Suspension and other medications by at least two hours.

• Pregnancy and Lactation: Consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
