Description
AMARYL 2MG 30’S contains glimepiride, an oral medication used to manage type 2 diabetes. It helps lower blood sugar by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin and improving the body’s response to insulin. This medication is prescribed when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
The usual dose starts at 1 to 2 mg once daily with breakfast, adjusted based on blood sugar response. Taking it with food helps reduce the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Common side effects include low blood sugar, headache, nausea, dizziness, and weakness. It is important to inform your doctor about any kidney or liver issues, other medications, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Regular blood sugar monitoring is necessary while using AMARYL to ensure effective and safe control of diabetes.
