Description
AMIKACIN SULPHATE INJECTION 500MG/2ML is a prescription antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. It belongs to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby killing or stopping the growth of bacteria.
Indications:

Severe infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, bones, joints, and intra-abdominal infections.

Infections caused by gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella species, and others.
Dosage:

The typical dose for adults is 15 mg/kg/day, administered in divided doses every 8 to 12 hours.
