Description

AMLODIPINE (ADIPIN) 10 MG TABLETS (100’s) are a generic formulation of amlodipine besylate, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable angina (chest pain). Each tablet contains 10 mg of amlodipine. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which improves blood flow and reduces the heart’s workload. This helps lower blood pressure and relieve chest pain.

Indications

• Treatment of hypertension to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.
• Management of angina by improving blood flow and reducing chest discomfort.

Dosage & Administration

• The typical starting dose is 5 mg once daily, which may be increased to 10 mg based on individual response.
• For elderly patients or those with liver impairment, a lower starting dose may be recommended.

Take consistently at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side Effects

Common side effects include:

• Swelling of ankles or feet (edema)
• Dizziness
• Flushing
• Fatigue
• Palpitations (awareness of heartbeat)

These side effects are usually mild and tend to improve over time. Contact your healthcare provider if symptoms persist or worsen.
