Amoxiclav 1000mg tablets combine 875mg of amoxicillin and 125mg of clavulanic acid. This combination enhances the effectiveness of amoxicillin against a broader range of bacteria by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes that would otherwise degrade it.
🔹 Indications
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Such as sinusitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Urinary Tract Infections: Including cystitis and pyelonephritis.
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Like cellulitis and abscesses.
- Dental Infections: Including abscesses and periodontitis.
- Bone and Joint Infections: Such as osteomyelitis.
🔹 Dosage & Administration
- Adults and Children ≥12 years (≥40 kg): Typically, one tablet every 12 hours.
