AZELASTIN‑COMOD 0.5 mg/ml Eye Drops (COMOD)
Sterile, preservative-free ophthalmic solution of azelastine hydrochloride in a special COMOD® dispenser designed to maintain sterility for up to 3 months after opening.

🧪 Active Ingredient

• Azelastine hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml, a potent antihistamine with mast-cell stabilizing and anti-inflammatory action

✅ Key Benefits

• Rapid relief of itchy, red, watery eyes from allergic conjunctivitis

• Can prevent symptoms before allergen exposure

• Suitable for adults and children aged 4 years+ (seasonal) or 12 years+ (year-round)

💉 Dosage & Use

• Apply 1 drop in each affected eye twice daily (morning & evening)

• May increase to up to 4 applications daily if needed

• Instill regularly until symptoms resolve, not exceeding 6 weeks

• Shake gently (COMOD system) and avoid tip contact with eye or eyelid

• Remove contact lenses before use and wait ≥15 minutes before reinsertion

⚠️ Precautions

• Do not use in case of allergy to azelastine or other ingredients

• Not suitable for treating eye infections, only allergic symptoms

• Consult eye care specialist if symptoms persist >48 hours or affect only one eye

• Benzalkonium chloride preservative may irritate dry eyes or soft contact lenses; remove lenses before use and recheck after reconnecting

⚕️ Side Effects

• Common: mild burning, stinging, or watering of the eye (~30%), bitter taste in the mouth (~10%), headache (~15%) MIMS

• Rare: allergic reactions such as rash or swelling

📦 Storage

• Store upright at room temperature (2‑30 °C)

• Use within 12 weeks of opening; discard after that
