BACK UP PILLS 1.5MG 1’S is an emergency contraceptive medication containing 1.5 mg of Levonorgestrel, a synthetic progestin hormone. It is designed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure (e.g., condom breakage). Levonorgestrel works primarily by inhibiting ovulation, altering the cervical mucus to prevent sperm penetration, and altering the endometrial lining to prevent implantation.
