Bactrobel Ointment 15gm is a topical antibiotic ointment containing Mupirocin 2% w/w, developed by Dr. Ibrahim Okich. Mupirocin is a naturally occurring antibiotic produced by fermentation using the organism Pseudomonas fluorescens. It is active against a wide range of bacteria responsible for the majority of skin infections, including Staphylococcus aureus (including methicillin-resistant strains) and Streptococcus pyogenes.
