CEFTRIAXONE & SULBACTAM (SANTRIAX S) 1500 Injection is a combination antibiotic that includes Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin, and Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This formulation provides enhanced antibacterial coverage by targeting a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including strains resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Each vial delivers a total dose of 1500 mg, containing 1 gram of Ceftriaxone and 500 mg of Sulbactam, designed for intravenous or intramuscular administration. SANTRIAX S is indicated for the treatment of serious infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, and infections caused by beta-lactamase producing bacteria.
The injectable preparation must be reconstituted with an appropriate diluent prior to administration, allowing rapid and effective therapeutic action.
