Description
RUFEX 500MG Tablets contain Cefuroxime axetil 500 mg, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Cefuroxime axetil is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed to the active Cefuroxime during absorption, allowing for oral administration.
Indications:
RUFEX 500MG Tablets are indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

Upper Respiratory Tract Infections: Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and acute bacterial sinusitis.

Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: Community-acquired pneumonia and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

Urinary Tract Infections: Uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Impetigo and cellulitis.

Other Infections: Early Lyme disease (erythema migrans) and uncomplicated gonorrhea.
Dosage and Administration:
The usual adult dose is 500 mg orally twice daily, with or without food. The duration of therapy depends on the type and severity of the infection and should be determined by a healthcare professional.
Contraindications:
