ZOCEF 500mg Tablets contain Cefuroxime axetil, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. It is an oral formulation that offers reliable and convenient dosing, commonly used in outpatient and step-down therapy from intravenous antibiotics.
Indications:
ZOCEF 500mg is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:

Lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and acute bronchitis

Upper respiratory tract infections including pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and sinusitis

Urinary tract infections

Skin and soft tissue infections

Dosage and Administration:
Administer orally, ideally after meals to enhance absorption and reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. The usual adult dosage is 500mg twice daily, depending on the severity and type of infection. Duration of treatment should be as directed by the prescribing physician and must be completed to avoid resistance development.
Contraindications:
