Description
CELENTA 200mg Capsules (10’s) contain Celecoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated as oral capsules. Manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., CELENTA is used to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions.
Indications:
CELENTA Capsules are indicated for:

Osteoarthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis

Ankylosing spondylitis
-
Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)

Acute pain
-
Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), for the regression and prevention of colorectal adenomatous polyps
Dosage and Administration:
-
Osteoarthritis: 200 mg/day as a single dose or in two divided doses. May increase to 200 mg twice daily if necessary.

Rheumatoid arthritis: 100–200 mg twice daily.

Dysmenorrhea: Initially, 400 mg followed by 200 mg if necessary on the first day. Maintenance: 200 mg twice daily.

Ankylosing spondylitis: Initially, 200 mg/day as a single dose or in two divided doses. May increase to 400 mg/day after 6 weeks.

Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP): 400 mg twice daily with food.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Celecoxib, other NSAIDs, or sulfonamides

Severe hepatic impairment

Severe heart failure

Inflammatory bowel disease

Peptic ulcer

Renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min)

Mode of Action:
Celecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor that reduces mediators of pain and inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis via COX-2.
