Description

CELESTAMINE Tablets 30’s (Expired 03/20) contain a combination of Betamethasone and Dexchlorpheniramine Maleate, formulated to provide anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effects. Manufactured by MSD Ltd., CELESTAMINE is commonly prescribed to manage allergic reactions and inflammatory conditions.

Indications:
CELESTAMINE Tablets are indicated for:

• Allergic rhinitis

• Conjunctivitis

• Urticaria (hives)

• Dermatitis

• Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and bursitis

• Asthma exacerbations

• Other conditions as determined by a healthcare provider

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 to 2 tablets four times daily, after meals and at bedtime. The total daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets.

• Children 6–12 years: ½ tablet three times daily. The total daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets.

• Children 2–6 years: ¼ to ½ tablet three times daily. The total daily dose should not exceed 2 tablets.
  Dosage should be adjusted based on individual response and under medical supervision.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Betamethasone, Dexchlorpheniramine, or any component of the formulation

• Active systemic fungal infections

• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is generally not recommended; consult a healthcare provider

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with glaucoma, thyroid disorders, heart conditions, or gastrointestinal issues

• Monitor for potential side effects, especially with prolonged use

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:

• Drowsiness or sedation

• Dry mouth

• Dizziness

• Headache

• Stomach upset

• Increased appetite and weight gain

• Fluid retention

• Mood changes

• Menstrual irregularities

Storage:
Store at room temperature, away from direct light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store in the bathroom or freezer.
