Description

FELAXIN Cephalexin 125mg/5ml Oral Suspension (100ml)

Active Ingredient: Cephalexin Monohydrate
Class: First-generation cephalosporin antibiotic

Indications

FELAXIN Suspension is used for treating bacterial infections such as:

• Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., tonsillitis, pharyngitis)

• Otitis media (middle ear infections)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Bone and joint infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Dental infections

Dosage and Administration

• Children: Dosage usually ranges from 25–100 mg/kg/day divided into doses every 6 to 12 hours, not exceeding 4 grams daily.

• Adults: Dosage is typically 250 mg to 500 mg every 6 hours, depending on the infection severity.

Shake the bottle well before each use. Administer after meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Follow your healthcare provider’s dosing instructions carefully.

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity to cephalexin or other cephalosporins

• Allergy to penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics

Precautions

• Inform your healthcare provider of any history of antibiotic allergies

• Use cautiously in patients with kidney impairment; dosage adjustments may be required

• Consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Side Effects

Common side effects:

• Nausea, vomiting

• Diarrhea

Rare but serious side effects:

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, difficulty breathing)

• Severe diarrhea

• Jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes)
