๐Ÿฉบ Indications

Dacillin 300mg is used to treat infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria or certain gram-positive bacteria, including:

  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Bone and joint infections

  • Pelvic infections

  • Intra-abdominal infections

  • Septicemia and endocarditis

  • Dental infections

  • Alternative therapy for multi-drug resistant Plasmodium falciparum infections


๐Ÿ’Š Dosage and Administration

  • Adults:

    • Serious infections: 150โ€“300 mg every 6 hours.

    • Severe infections: 300โ€“450 mg every 6 hours.

    • Maximum daily dose: 1.8 g.

    • For bone and joint infections or diabetic foot infections: 300 mg 3โ€“4 times daily.

  • Children:

    • 10โ€“25 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours.

    • For more severe infections: 30โ€“40 mg/kg/day

Note: To minimize the risk of esophageal irritation, take capsules with a full glass of water and remain upright for at least 30 minutes

Common side effects may include:

  • Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain

  • Diarrhea
