Description
DICARD 50MG F/C TABS 30’S contains diclofenac sodium 50mg, a well-established non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with a wide range of musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions.
Mechanism of Action:
Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins—chemical messengers that mediate inflammation, pain, and swelling. By blocking prostaglandin production, DICARD 50MG effectively reduces inflammation and provides pain relief.
Indications:

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis

Acute musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and strains

Low back pain

Postoperative or post-traumatic pain

Menstrual pain (primary dysmenorrhea)

Dosage & Administration:
The usual adult dose is 50mg two to three times daily, depending on the severity of symptoms and clinical response. Tablets should be taken with food or after meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Do not crush or chew the tablets.
Precautions:

Prolonged use may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, and cardiovascular events.

Use with caution in elderly patients and those with a history of ulcers, hypertension, kidney, or liver impairment.
