DICLOFENAC (CLONAC) GEL 20G is a topical analgesic and anti-inflammatory gel containing diclofenac sodium 1% w/w, a well-established non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This formulation is designed for external use to provide localized relief from pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders.

Active Ingredient:

• Diclofenac Sodium 1% w/w

Indications:

• Muscle pain and stiffness

• Joint pain due to osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis

• Sports injuries (e.g., sprains, strains, contusions)

• Tendonitis (e.g., tennis elbow)

• Backache, neck pain, or localized soft tissue inflammation

Mechanism of Action:

Diclofenac acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing the formation of prostaglandins—chemical mediators involved in pain and inflammation. Applied topically, CLONAC Gel penetrates the skin to reach inflamed tissues beneath, offering targeted pain relief with minimal systemic absorption and fewer gastrointestinal side effects compared to oral NSAIDs.

Directions for Use:

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 4 times daily

• Gently massage until fully absorbed

• Do not apply to broken, damaged, or infected skin

• Wash hands thoroughly after use (unless treating hands)

Precautions:

• For external use only

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes

• Not recommended for use during the third trimester of pregnancy

• Discontinue use if irritation or allergic reaction occurs

• Avoid direct sunlight on treated areas due to potential photosensitivity

• Mild local skin reactions such as redness, itching, or dryness

• Rare: rash, photosensitivity, or allergic contact dermatitis
