INNO-CILA Injection contains Cilastatin and Imipenem, a powerful broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used to treat serious bacterial infections. This injectable formulation is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including those resistant to other antibiotics.

Cilastatin works by inhibiting the enzyme dehydropeptidase in the kidneys, preventing the degradation of Imipenem, thereby enhancing its antibacterial activity. Imipenem disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to rapid bacterial cell death. Together, they offer potent treatment for infections such as complicated urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, and skin and soft tissue infections.
