Description
IVYTIMOL Eye Drops 0.5% contain Timolol Maleate, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. By decreasing the production of aqueous humor in the eye, IVYTIMOL helps to lower IOP and prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss.
Indications:

Pharmacological Action:
Timolol reduces intraocular pressure without significantly affecting pupil size or accommodation. It is effective as monotherapy or can be used in combination with other antiglaucoma agents such as prostaglandin analogs or carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
Dosage and Administration:
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily or as directed by your ophthalmologist. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
Precautions:
Before using IVYTIMOL, inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma, COPD, bradycardia, heart block, or cardiac failure, as systemic absorption of Timolol may cause bronchospasm or bradycardia. Regular monitoring of intraocular pressure and visual fields is recommended during therapy.
