ZITEN-M 20/1000 is a fixed-dose combination of Teneligliptin (20 mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (1000 mg), formulated to provide effective glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This dual-action therapy targets different mechanisms to help manage blood glucose levels efficiently.
Teneligliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor, enhances the body’s natural incretin system, improving insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. Metformin, a first-line antidiabetic agent, works by decreasing hepatic glucose production and improving insulin sensitivity.
